Dancing Rain Doll kit suggestions

I am going to be ambitious and make my girls a waldorf doll for their 1st & 3rd birthdays coming up this fall. I'm trying to decide which one to go with for each of them.

For my oldest (she'll be 3) I'm thinking of the My Baby kit. She is very much a little 'mama' who spends her days nursing and changing her babies diapers. But I can't find on the website how big the My Baby doll is. Also it says it comes with a pattern for a sleeper but are there any patterns for other clothes as well? Or is there somewhere I could find patterns to make other clothes that would fit that baby? And also woudl it be possible to weight it's body?

I've emailed the customer service asking these questions but still haven't gotten a response back so I thought someone here may have some experience.
Thanks!

My kids have customs from Amy (friendship doll and button jointed baby), and I have made a friendship doll for my almost 2 year old.

I don't have the pattern for the My Baby (have the pattern for all the ones we own), but she usually includes several clothing patterns for each doll. Even our button baby has several choices. Most are baby kind of outfits, but there is sundress, too.

I made the friendship doll in 14" for dd for Christmas, and it is a really good size for her. I think the my baby would have also been a good choice for this age. She wanted a doll just like brother so I chose the friendship.

Did you see the link on weighting dolls? http://dancingraindolls.com/weighting_a_doll.html

The kit was GREAT! It has great quality materials, and the instructions are very detailed.

Well I think my LO answered my question. I had the screen up obsessing about which one to order and she walked by and pointed very specifically to the Friendship Doll and told me how neat it was and asked if she could have one of those. I showed her the My Baby but she liked the other one.

I did see the weighting instructions but I wasn't sure if that could be done on any doll. I think after reading your post I'm going to get her the 14" Friendship doll though. That seems like it will be a good size for her and I'll just try weighting her bottom a bit.

I really think she will like it! I went ahead and purchased the extra hair kit, and I am so glad I did. It is a little too much hair down for her right now, but I have her hair french braided. That is perfect for her. DD has a TON of hair so it will look more like her in a few years.

There are a TON of clothing options for this doll, too! In fact, that is what dd is getting for her birthday. I spend so much time sewing other stuff, that I never got around to making a ton of clothes for this doll.

I think I'm going to do the doll and 1 special 'birthday outfit' for her birthday (in October) and then hopefully several other outfits (and perhaps matching outfits for her) for Christmas. I am planning so far ahead but I tend to move at the speed of a snail with my crafting so I'm hoping if I start now I can get everything done.
