Laundry for only 1-2 diapers a day?

DD is almost 3 and has been pretty good at using the potty for almost a year. That said, she still wears a diaper for naps and bedtime. We switched to disposies because 2 diapers/day plus maybe a (cloth) wipe or two made laundry difficult: the loads were too small to do it every couple of days, and waiting until we had a decent-sized load made me worry about mold, etc. I don't really want to throw them in with the rest of our clothes because I use hot water for diapers and cold for everything else.

So what do you do when you only use 1-2 diapers a day?

I think I would just hand wash and sun dry, or just throw them in with a load of towels, sheets or baby clothes that usually have pee and poop on them anyway.

If it was just pee I would wash them with the regular laundry :

My DH just does a cold rise for the 2 dipes or wipes (stripped undies) then then tosses in his socks, white towels, underwear etc...... and does a hot wash.

I'd agree with mommashark - just rinse them in the tub or do a cold rinse in your washer and then wash them normally with some towels/socks, etc. Just make sure you are still using a cd-friendly detergent

I just wash diapers with the underwear and towels.

Now that DD is down to just a couple of diapers a day and the 1-2 training pants, I wash diapers, wipes, bath mats, towels, kitchen towels, rags and even sheets all mixed up together.

How often do you all do laundry? If I wait to wash 'em with the other laundry, I'll only be washing once, MAYBE twice a week if we're going out of town or something. Do you have any problems leaving dirties in the pail for several days?
