Breed guess, but this time I know *big reveal in #18!*

I thought this would be interesting. I have a mix that I got from the shelter when she was 8 weeks old. I know what both her parents are as I knew her foster family who also had the mother and father. Both the mother and father were purebreds so she is a 50/50 mix. She weighs about 30lbs.

So what do you think?

If you are comparing her size with the others dogs in the multiple pic, don't compare her to my Dane. My dane can curl up into the smallest balls I have ever seen. The other dogs laying next her are 35lbs and 50lbs and my dane is 120lbs. The dog in question is very leggy and she is pushing 8 years old in Sept so she is full grown.

I'm going to say greyhound + australian shepherd . She's got kind of a pointy nose!

I'm terible at this game, but I have to say she is "beautifully unique."

I would say aussie shepherd or aussie cattle dog plus something else. She looks like Lu who is an aussie something mix. 3 pups in the litter had the white and black spot. her head is the same shape as lu too and is the same size.

kelpie x catahoula

dont really think that, but trying to get some more guesses in for the reveal

I definitely going with cattle dog or shepherd for one half. Don't know if that's fair.
The other half IS leggy. Something with a very minimal stifle, like a coonhound or foxhound. SOMETHING houndy.
Can't wait to find out....fun game.

I was going to guess a great dane mixed with something else after the first picture, but then I thought maybe a greyhound with a cattle dog. I'm interested to see what breeds the dog is.

Well just for the record, no one got even one of her breeds right!!! I figured someone would guess at least one of them, guess this was a better game then I thought

And the big reveal is:

her mother was a boxer and her father was a sheltie! I totally see the sheltie when I look at her but the boxer has me for a spin but I know for a fact these were her parents.

Thanks for playing....maybe I'll do my other mixes next?

I can see sheltie now that you point it out, but I dont think I ever would've guessed it

Wow! I never would have guessed, but I guess that's where the somewhat pointy nose comes from. Was it a merle(?) sheltie — one of the black and white and greys? I have to confess when I think of shelties I always think of my sister's dogs in the brown/white coloration and I forget that other color patterns exist. Wouldn't have guessed boxer at all.
