Well I went out on Saturday which was still May, but I need to brag a bit. I spent about $100 total (CAD) and got so much stuff I had to send DF home to unload and then come back and pick up more stuff. I run a home daycare and am still in the process of accumulating toys and equipment. We got:

- a metal trike
- a plastic trike
- one of those plastic cars that kids sit in and push with their feet
- a sand and water table
- 4 big outdoor Tonka trucks
- a Little Tikes doll house with dolls and furniture
- a play tool bench with lots of tools that spin and make noise
- a big Ikea puppet theater
- 3 Barbies and 3 Kens, all with outfits
- a play grocery cart
- a doll stroller
- some dress up clothes
- a couple of dolls
- a Fisher Price car racing thing
- brand new leather cowboy boots for my daughter
- a Precious Memories hand imprint kit, still in the original packaging

I think that is it. There may be a few more odds and ends, but that is all of the big stuff. I think I did pretty well!!

Our church had its semi-anual clothing exchange on Sunday. I was able to take in a lot of my clothes that don't fit anymore and get some smaller sizes. I found a couple beautiful dresses for Katie Grace and a pair of Hanna clogs!

Can we put dumpster dive finds here too? I don't have anything yet this season, but garage sales mean fabulous Monday morning trash piles so I'll be on the look out! I need a fish tank for a project I have in mind.

Absolutely on the dumpster dives! I just posted a free clothing exchange. Maybe I should change the title to "Bargain brags"?

Well I went to a yard sale and got 4 kids books, a brand new pair of shoes for DD and a nice infant life jacket for $2.25. Plus when I went there a woman had saw my ad on our local bulletin board and I got a bag of 15 cotton prefold diapers for FREE!!!! I just started washing them, now I need some covers. When I showed up they were like are you here for the diapers? and I was like, huh? Oh sure, thank you.

I got some other newborn unisex clothes at another yard sale, I love yard sale season.

My brags....

A 3T blazer, tags still on, brand name, .99c. It was apparently part of a 3 pc suit, and the tag says the original price was $68. The "bargain" price was $33. The thrift stores original price was $5.99. I got it on their .99c day. :

3T pants, different brand, but match the blazer, .99c

Motherhood Maternity dressy shirt, .99c

Motherhood Maternity sweater, .99c

2 prs of jeans for my 4 yo who is always blowing the knees out of his pants, .99c each.

Ceramic glazed pot (replacing my awful scratched Teflon pot), 1.99

Frying pan, 1.99

I looooooove my thrift store!!

I'll share.....

Consignment store today:
Two new bathing suits
two gap skorts
two nice pair of shorts
pair gap capris
three solid tee shirts
mini boden halter dress
limited two indian-inspired woven cottne top
sweat shirt from ltd. too
funky belt

My dd was in need of clothing and the pre-teen sizes are so hard to find, so I'm thrilled. Everything passes pre-teen girl inspection! She's growing so fast that I refuse to shop retail!

Wow, great score!

I am in decluttering mode with my home daycare, myself, but I picked up a Little Tikes dollhouse myself at the thrift store a few weeks ago. They are perfect for toddler/preschooler play and I've been looking for one for AGES!

I was going to order Hook On Phonics Kindergarten for my older son to teach my younger one to read with and rather than paying $64.95 for it, I found it online for $14.95.
