JUNEDuggers! - Page 9

My dh and I were watching this last night. I do think it's a bit funny that Johannah hasn't seemed to graduate to an older girl as her buddy. Seems like she is still Michelle's buddy. I bet she's a handful at home.

So, I finally caught the Bates' home remodel episode, and finally saw this new hair y'all were talking about!
Michelle's hair looked the same during the gift presentation, so perhaps it's a "Mama Makeover" was the mother's day gift for her?

Subbing.

I also thought Michelle looks different lately, and very pretty!

Noooo! The Duggars are selling out! "With so many kids we need to disinfect the floors daily" cut to shot of Michelle and one of the older girls using Swiffer thingys and throwing away the disposable cleaning pad. I HATE such over the top product placement.

yuck! I hate the over the top product placement too. Plus I hate cleaning products that encourage people to make waste every day. A million kids or not you can still clean the house in a more eco friendly way

I agree completely! Plus I read a study that showed swiffer wetjet to be toxic for babies and small children! so this is not exactly healthy for them either. It made me sad to see that tonight. I really love the show and think they are great in so many ways but I guess like the rest of us, sometimes they get it wrong. I also really hate the coke dispenser in the kitchen. Couldn't they drink water, tea, or milk instead? *sigh* but that is their choice.

Ugh. Didnt see the episode yet but that is too bad they're doing blatant advertising!

Just saw the Bates home addition episode- look forward to seeing how that turns out! So, how long until John David or one of the older boys starts courting that oldest Bates girl? It seems inevitable and I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet!

I was rolling my eyes at the Swiffer product placement. I'm sad they sold out like that.

My cleaning obsessive grandma brought me a swiffer cleaning pack when we moved, and out of curiosity I tried it once. Not only did it not get my floors totally cleaned--it started smearing dirt from muddy foot prints after only half the kitchen floor--it also smelled terrible. It had a gagging chemical scent! I Freecycled the rest of the pads ASAP. I kept the plain mop thing and put a microfiber towel on the end to get down cobwebs and swipe over the floors...

There's always been product placement on the show it's just been in the form of close ups on the appliances and stuff just nothing so blatant or for such an arguably questionable product.

I made a date with my mom for Tuesday night so I can watch the show next week! (No cable here)

ugh. It's starting to get old now, lol. I guess because I watch their show so often. Can't they just enjoy their grandkids at this point.

I sooooooo love the Duggars and the Bates...I love what great people they are raising and how happy and cheerful they are. I think they are great examples of excellent ways to teach and rear children....so patient soft spoken and kind and involved. It is so nice of them to help the Bates expand their home....but also so impressed with the Bates for making it work so well for their family in only 1000 square feet...so the opposite of most Americans who think once you have 2 (oh my heck, 2!) kids you need a minimum of 2000 square feet to properly raise them. I was sort of hoping that they might be done having kids....mostly because I feel like Michelle must be so tired of it...but obviously, since she decided to get pregnant again, is not tired of it! So, good for them. :

I also sooooooooo love that she nurses her babies anywhere and everywhere and is such a huge advocate for natural birth and homeschooling!

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread and start a fall one (kind of like I was supposed to start a new thread a few months ago, LOL!). With the new news we will probably have new people joining the thread, and this gives everyone a chance to review the guidelines. See you over there!
