What are the best chinese cotton prefolds??

Green Mountain Diapers are my favorite. They are sized, so they sit perfectly in covers of the matching size, and you don't have to fold them down as much. Plus they are a bit wider, so they are easier to fasten. And they quilt up much more than any other kind of prefold I've tried.

Green Mountain Diapers are great, and I love Diaperware too. Nicki's Diapers and Integrity Diaper Company have the best prices. Zannadu is good too. Oh, and clothdiaper.com if you're buying a whole truckload.

I got a supply of Cotton Babies and a supply of seconds from clothdiaper.com. So far, I have only prewashed them for use but since our baby isn't here yet, I can't say which one will be better for actual use. There is a difference in the softness - the clothdiaper.com seconds seem to be softer but the Cotton Babies are slightly longer in the newborn size. I got both in the unbleached.

I have a question about this too. What is the difference between a Chinese prefold and a regular one? I have a dozen prefolds that I bought at Babies R Us for burp cloths and now am exploring the world of cloth diapering. Would it be a really bad idea to use these inside a diaper cover? Just trying to figure out how to save money as I'm getting a diaper stash started. Thanks!

Chinese prefolds are MUCH more absorbent. However, you can try using what you have; it may work fine for you.

Agreed! I've known a few people that start with the gerber or normal store bought prefolds and then try the chinese or a pocket diaper and are just amazed by the difference!

My Baby Pumpkin also has really good prices for the Regular size and I think there is a free shipping special right now too.
