I'm not bipolar so I can't help much in that area. As far as the SSRI's go, most of them are considered to be safe for breastfeeding, though some are more studied than others. Are you doing okay on only an SSRI right now?

Yes I ma doing ok. I have felt that the reson i haven't had much energy is cause i had a c-section birth. I have good days and bad days. I do not have a severe form of bi-polar. I also am seeing a terapist 2 x's a month. that is helping alot. well paxial has been geting some bad press. I think i'll try phoning my lll leader. I know one of the moms there is on paxil

thank you for asking

my baby was planned and i talked with my dr and i have alot of support from him.

Most of the ssri's ARE safe during nursing.
Paxil can work wonders.. the bad press is because it can be very very hard to withdraw from.
I know, I am in the process of doing it.
If I had to do it again, I would try Zoloft.
Though the best data about nursing safety is on Prozac.
