Replacing my Ergo with a Sachi or Kozy?

Which would you suggest Sachi or Kozy? I have a 5 week old and want to use this a little now and alot when she's bigger into toddlerhood.

I didin't like the bulkiness of the Ergo for carry in diaper bag and when on but I am gonna miss the hood... Plus the Ergo you had to unhook/buckle to switch to a hip carry.

I love my Kozy, more than my Ergo. But it doesn't fold up as small as you are probably thinking. The straps are pretty long. It is much more compact than the Ergo though.

I just did this (replaced my Ergo with a Kozy) and I love the Kozy. Though I've just been wearing it around the house with a baby doll, so my opinion may not really count at this point. Baby's due in 12 weeks...I could tell you more then

I never had an Ergo...went straight for a Kozy. I use my Kozy with my 14 month old DD and we both love it. We use it mostly at the grocery store. The straps are very long, but I don't keep it in a bag...I just roll it up and put it in the trunk of my car until I need it. I love it because I never have to adjust any straps.

If you can, you might want to hold on to your Ergo for later when baby gets bigger, as IME at least a lot of MTs aren't as supportive for big kids because you're balancing the weight on your waist as opposed to transferring it to your hips. But that's definitely a question of personal preference and one you'd have to answer for yourself.

FWIW, there are mei tai brands out there that have built-in sleeping hoods, and also have light padding in the waist strap to provide more support as baby gets bigger. I'm not up on all the brands that would meet your needs in that regard but over at www.thebabywearer.com you could post about MT brands that would have these features for you.
