I don't know. I would really check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. SO MANY THINGS are not safe with 5 HTP... but I don't know if bc is one of them... I don't think it affects serotonin... but then it could. Don't know. Any time you have questions, ask your pharmacist. They are the ones who know the most about the drugs.

I just called up my pharmacist, he didnt even know that St John's Wort makes BC less effective! Geez!
