I just have to share.
Even with the economy the way it is and even though my family's annual income is very modest, things are really looking up for us.
Within the past month:
-We were notified that we missed the EIC and received an additional (and unexpected) tax refund in the mail.
-We applied and received a state grant to replace energy sucking appliances with energy star appliances. We're getting a new 15 SEER AC and 92% efficient furnace installed in 2weeks. It should lower our monthly energy cost too!
-I won a small bucket of weatherizing products from Home Depot.
-My dh and I paid off one of our CCs. Called and got our interest rates lowered on the other cards again.
-I was able to lower my car insurance and the phone bill too!
-My dh found another project car to fix up and resale for significant profit.
He hasn't worked on one for a few months so this is really helpful.
-I've been able to add a few more hours at work than usual, which means more money than usual.
-And we actually have a savings account with 4 months of living expenses!
I almost feel like I'm jinxing myself by talking about our good fourtain. Hopefully that is not the case.
