Thank You's for labor support

What did everyone do for thank you's for their midwife or doctor? I'm looking for ideas.

To be honest, it didn't occur to me to do anything for my OB other than to say "thank you" and shake his hand. Oh, and I'll pay the bill. But it wasn't labor support; it was a c/s.

I've considered sending a thank you note to the nurses on the mother/infant unit, since I have to say that I was overall very happy with the level of care we received there.

I made a gourp mix in individual baggies in a basket with a thank you from baby stoll on it for the nurses at the hospital...I gave it to them after the birth...hubby said the next day some were still eating them.

I'm writing a short poem and putting it in a small frame with a pic of LO as a thank you to the MW and Doula. poems and scrapbooking are my hobbies.

I wrote thank you notes with baby photos/photos of us with baby to the two midwives at my birth, the office staff of the MW practice, the nurse (hospital staff), and my doula. As gifts, one MW got three flowering plants arranged in a basket with moss and a copy of the song DH wrote for the baby. The other MW got a photo album (she is a photo hobbiest). We gave a box of bakery treats to the staff. No gift for the nurse (I only encountered her on the day of the birth) or the doula (since we had hired her).

We'll send a photo announcement. And our band is playing a couple of events for the birth center.
