BumGenius 3.0 Velcro....

It's starting to curl at the ends on the tabs. Does anyone have any insight on how to stop this and prevent it in the future? I LOVE these diapers, and don't want to have to replace them because of this issue, not to mention the fact that we don't have the money to replace them.

My BG are doing the same thing....it doesn't really bother me too much though because they still hold the diaper on just as well as they always did, as long as I press the curled up edge down it stays...on the waist anyways....they just don't stick to the laundry tabs as well as they used to....

If it isn't holding the diaper on as well you might want to clean the velcro....I have to pull any hair or loose threads that got tangled in it every so often.

I don't have any other suggestions...hopefully someone else will.

I heard once if you dry them too hot, they will curl - I don't know if that's true. You can get replacement velcro from the company, I believe, or many wahms will do it for you for a small fee. It's better to spend a few bucks to get the velcro replaced than to replace the whole diaper!

It is for this very reason that we don't dry the covers in the dryer but rather hang them dry. It really does make a huge difference. Hopefully it's not too late for yours?

One other thing... BGs come with an excellent warranty that covers them for one year (you have to have your receipt or dated proof of purchase of some kind)... so if you're within that year, you might contact them immediately and see if they'd consider this a replacement issue.

i heard this could be an issue, so i wash mine by hand and hang to dry. so far the velcro is great. i only have two so the handwashing isnt too much of a pain, lol.

You can replace the velcro with snaps for a few bucks a diaper + shipping costs. PM me if you want suggestions of WAHMs who do this.
