Momma Pads - How many do I need?

I want to switch to cloth for myself, but I can't seem to figure out how many pads I need. How often do you change them? Every two hours? Every four hours?

I saw Luna Pads has a Deluxe kit they say is all you need for one cycle, but it doesn't seem like enough to me (2 long pads/liners, 3 regular maxi pads/6 liners, 2 mini pads). If that was to work, (assuming two days of regular flow and one day of light), you'd use 3 maxi pads during the day (5-6 hours each) and then 8 hours on a mini pad (to make two last for 16 hours). That doesn't quite seem to be enough to me.

Part of the problem is that period after baby isn't like it used to be before baby, which only adds to the confusion. So if everyone could just tell me what you use/how often you change during heavy, medium and light flow, I might be able to figure something out.

Thanks!

Ok, I have AF right now...yesterday was my first full day of AF this cycle and I used 5, I think. I have 9 in my stash with all different lengths and thicknesses because I'm still trying to figure out what I like. AF (since having DS) has been day one with just spotting in the afternoon and heavy at night, day 2 heavy all day and I'm on day 3 of heavy flow. I change it whenever I have to pee.
