I just found out i'm pregnant with my forth and i want to get going on a load of soakers and maybe get a little destashing done.

I have 5 skeins of ECY zoom and i was wondering if it would work? maybe if i lanolize it after i finished? I have no experience in how alpaca works.

any one know if it would work?

yes, I'm pretty sure these are the drawbacks:
1. alpaca is much warmer than wool, great for winter, not so good for the warmer months
2. I think alpaca loses it's shape more quickly. If you're doing shorties or longies this may be an issue for the waist. You can always make a belt or use elastic in the waistband. If it's a wrap style, I don't think it will matter too much. If you felt it, I think it will be perfectly fine.
The benefit is that it will be super soft on that new baby skin!
