I like Eralyn better, too. I actually think you'll have more mispronunciations/misspellings with Victory because people will assume you/she meant Victoria. I also am not partial to the nickname Vickie, which would probably come up pretty often.

Totally. I can't tell you how many times people can't pronounce my children's names correctly and they all have common names, nothing unique any means!

I love love Eralyn. Most people will meet her via verbal intro rather than written. In school (if you public/private school), she can correct her teachers once at the beginning of the year & thats that. My last name is bizarre looking but all it takes is one correction & its not a big deal to do that. Eralyn is gorgeous & unique.

I like Eralyn and I totally pronounced it right as I read it. I'm not pregnant or planning to be, but I am tempted to steal that name in the future!

About difficult to pronounce/spell names...I just got dd's grade school yearbook this week. It is a diverse school, with children from all over the world. At least 20-30% of the names are difficult for me to pronounce--maybe more. In a multicutural area, a "different" name is nothing to blink at. Just my $.02
