So I was going to write I"m getting my AF but then aftering reading and remembering...I might just be ovluating. I used to have ovulations pains. So maybe that is the crampiness I feel, no actual bleeding yet...Oh I hope I don't get it!

I just got my period this morning! I am exactly 8 week pp today. WTH??

I didn't get my period back until 8 mo. then 6 mo with my other two kids! And, I thought I was getting ripped off then even! I nursed them both for 2 years. I'm nursing DS exclusively too! He doesn't eat as much during the night as my other kids did though, that must be why. BUMMER!

ugh, me too!

With DS1 i got like 9 months before i got my period back. Now, despite exclusively breastfeeding AND tandem nursing, here i am. Awesome.

Its BAAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKK! :::::::

Can you tell I"m not happy about it! I was so hoping this time I'd get to go at least 6 mo without. But NOOOOO. Got it 6 weeks pp last time and 7weeks pp this time. UGH!

The thing I hate is that I usually use the diva cup but it is a bit of a process and I don't think I can do that with 2 children out and about. I won't do tampons so back to pads.

Well upside, my chiro physician says that the sooner your cycle comes back the better as then your body is healthier getting back to normalcy. BUt STILL!:

We're 11 weeks PP tomorrow and I think I might be spotting today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays away a little while longer. I really like not having to deal with it...

Did get to use the Diva cup...so maybe it won't be soo bad, thankfully didn't have the killer cramps I usually do!

yep, that's why I decided on Mirena too. I got it @ 11 weeks pp @ insertion was unbelievably easy (I did take Advil before I arrived @ my OB's). I guess I've had it for about 2-3 weeks now & I am having irregular spotting, but have not needed more than a pantyliner.

I didn't get AF until about 14 months pp w/ DD, so even though I'm glad I got Mirena, I do wonder when AF would have come back this time. Come to think of it, I was nursing DD more @ night when she was 12mos old than I do right now w/ DS, so I'm sure AF would have come back sooner this time.

started again today. Can't wait for the IUD. Anybody done paraguard?
I have the paraguard! I've had it since 5.5 weeks pp. I got it a little early and I had some really bad pains that I can only surmise were from the iud touching the unhealed placental site, but after about a week those were gone and I've absolutely loved it. No cramps, no bleeding (no ppaf, yet). I've heard it can increase cramping with af, but since I haven't had it,I don't know. So far, it's been awesome and I love the fact that it's hormone free and lasts 10 years. I recommend it!

DOc said what I had at 6 wks PP probably wasn't af cause Im a pumping machine.

I have been spotting, LIGHTLY, for a couple days but with no cramps or other symptoms. Im 9 weeks PP so Im sure itll come soon!

Im scared of BC so I think Ill just chart again. We did for years and were extremely successful!

i will NEVER do hormonal bc again...you have good reason to be afraid!

No signs of it yet. The first time around I got it at 13 months.

Interesting to read about the different IUDs I am thinking of going that way too, but would prefer one without hormones as well. Although I get this little painful glitch in my chest thinking about it, not having another baby or preventing it when I kind of feel like I might be pleased if it was a happy accident. But on the other hand I do want to get back to the "real world" some time too and DH is against another child and we aren't exactly rolling in money...

thanks, I have been thinking this same thing. I have to wait for the other insurance to kick in and pay for it, then I am doing it. Doc gave me pills but I hate them. I feel like i am gaining instead of losing weight. And I normally only have 4 periods a year, so this every 3 weeks thing sucks.

Round two...totatlly surprised me this morning. 24 days...usually 28 day cycle. Well glad it happened at home, wouldn't have been prepared otherwise!

Can I ask why? I know there are reasons why I'm choosing to not be on the pill but I'd like to hear it from someone else!

I cannot believe I am joining this thread - got AF yesterday, one day shy of Cooper's 3 month birthday! I thought for sure it would take awhile to come back as my friend just got her first ppaf last week and her LO is 17 months!!!! Oh well, I agree with PP that my body is probably healing and "raring to go again" and while I do not want to get pregnant again anytime too soon, I'm glad to know that when we are ready my body will be too.

I have taken the regular pill, the pill with half hormones, the ring, the patch and the diaphragm.

I have always been really sensitive to meds so I never take them. With the hormones, I felt like I could feel my body chemistry changing and I hated the feeling. Besides "death", I had almost every single reaction that you see on the side effects list. I think for me, the ring was the worst. The diaphragm was annoying and VERY un-sexy. ("Hold on dh, while I get my diaphragm, wash it, pat it dry, put the gel on it, lie in bed with legs up in the air placing it. Darn, Now its stuck, can you reach in and get it?"-3 to 8 hrs later because of spermicide-) lol. so yucky.
