'Hugamonkey' slings, anyone?

Before my sons birth, my husband and i bought 2 slings from the 'hugamonkey.com' website. The slings claim to hold a child up to 30 (or was it 35?) pounds. Our little one came here 8lbz and 12oz of pure sugar . At first, we LOVED these slings, but now that he is 5 months old and 20 pounds, theyre a really tight fit.

He cant fit in the 'newborn, cradle' position anymore, so the best i can do is put him in the 'sitting up hip carry' positon but the sling feel very tight over his chunky little legs and makes me think that hes uncomfortable, even though he dont seem to mind really.

I was wondering if anyone else has tried these slings and if theyve had this problem. Either way, im going to be purchasing a new sling very soon and i would like to be able to carry him on my back and hips. Any suggestions?

I have one. I fell right in the middle of the size small of the charts but i cannot get my 4 week old baby into it at all. It feels way tight and he seems uncomfortable.
Maybe they run smaller than the size charts.

The question I had about these is that it says the shoulder is sewn and the sling is pre-folded which I guess is okay if you only need the seam to fall at your side (hip carry), but what if you need the seem to fall at your front (front hold) -- then would the sewn shoulder be on your back?

It also seems that if your shoulder was sewn closed, you couldn't go for the "cup shoulder" or "shoulder flip" that some women seem to like...I don't know.
