i can feel sharp ridges in gwyns mouth, but so far they haven't changed at all. they've been that way since birth. hopefully they wont pop out for a while yet! ive heard some babies are born with teeth.

My first started cutting teeth at 2 months! Then they started falling out early too! Some kids are like that! The dentist warned us about early teeth and decay so just let lo chew on a wash cloth or rub them to "clean them".

Was he really fussy/cranky while getting it? I felt like teething got easier the older and more distractible my baby got- I can't imagine dealing with it in a 7 week old!

My friend's son was born with a tooth. He was sedated his whole life, so they only heard him make a sound once. She said it was scary because it was like a grunty growl sound and he had a tooth. haha. They pulled the tooth to intubate him, though, so there are no pictures of it. I think they keep it with his urn. Ok. Done with my story which is probably mildly depressing, but kinda funny when you hear it the way she tells it.

its hard to tell. I suppose he's been teething since before he was born?!?

It seems frustrating though, b/c i remember that brady really loved to put his hands in his mouth and chomp on them, and poor little J dosen't have the hand coordination to aim for mouth and get it there.

I just saw this on top of the DDC page, and thought I'd pop in - I know two people who have had little boys born with their two bottom teeth. One was 10.5lbs, the other came 4 whole weeks after his EDD.

My 9-week-old is getting her two bottom front teeth. It might take a while more for them to cut through her gums, but they're definitely on the way.
