Father's Day ideas

Ok, so we did creative tote bags for Mother's Day - got canvas bags and DS decorated the bags with fabric paint. Now, I'm not sure what to do for Father's Day. Pics? Something crafty?

What are you getting your H/DP for Father's Day and what are the LO's making for him?

DD's going to decorate one of those foam beer can holders (I think some people call them a huggy?) At the craft store they sell plain ones and I'll let her stick foam shapes to it.

From me - well, I'm thinking of getting him P90-X, which is a home workout system with videos and a nutrition plan. Although, I'm not sure if it's insulting to get him exercise stuff as a gift. LOL.

I LOVE the huggy idea. My H and Dad would love that - even my BIL, would, too. Very cool.

I'm finally printing out a ton of pictures we've taken since our daughter arrived and framing them for Father's Day. And I found a super cute card that plays in perfectly to the nicknames we use in the house, so that's even better :]

I got a book titled "I Love You Daddy" and I am going to have DS decorate the inside cover. DH isn't one to read to DS much, somehow that has fallen to me, and my hope is he will enjoy reading the book with DS.

I want to do something else too but haven't come up with anything good yet...

DS1 wants to make DH a dinosaur for Father's Day. Not too sure how I'm going to facilitate that, but Michael's will prevail. LOL DH want's breakfast in bed, I think I'm also going to get the workout room all set up in terms of the TV and Wii, so he doesn't have to do it.

I got DH an Ergo (DS outgrew the snugli), and am getting him a hat shaper/washer thing to clean his baseball hats. I also am making him a card with DS's hand/foot print.

We're giving FIL framed photos of DS. I've found that when I give them cards w/ photos that are not framed, the in-laws hide them to preserve them. I want them displayed!! I hope the frame will facilitate that!!

The fetus has prepurchased a swiss army knife for dad. That, and something with handprints/footprints will be the gift. :-)
