This is my first garden... in my herb bed I am realizing that I have no idea what are weeds and what are sproutlets that I planted. I'm not wanting to rely on my intuition with this one LOL I feel silly and also stressed about it. I didn't plant in nice neat rows, but I do know what I planted where. Stuff that popped up within the first week of planting, obviously was weed; but my herbs are starting to pop up now and I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Second, I changed my mind about where to put my veggies - I was going to just do a container garden in back, but then decided to go ahead and put them in the ground. Now it's looking like my tomatoes and green peppers aren't going to be getting as much sunlight as they need. Do I need to dig them up and go back to the containers? My space for gardening is pretty limited - I'm pretty much using every available square inch that I can right now. If I do containers, they will sit right where they are planted now, but during the day I'll be able to drag them out a bit to get more sun.
I feel like I'm supposed to know this stuff. I grew up on a farm, but the gaps in my knowledge are HUGE and glaring. LOL
