That's wonderful! My numbers were 368, 945, 2123, and 5465 (22 dpo Tuesday). I'm pretty sure this is not an ectopic and it's sticky!!!!:::

Should I be getting betas??? I don't even know what mine is, except I keep passing urine HPTs and the test at the hospital

The test at the hospital was probably a beta. It tells you the level of HCG in your system.

No, you should not be getting your hcg blood work done unless you are high risk (like myself), possibly miscarrying or having some other problems. Don't worry!

A beta is an HCG test. During the early weeks the hormones are supposed to double every 48 hours. and I did better than that....so maybe this is a sticky bean.

Moon- I hope it is a sticky bean!!! : We both need some sticky babies I just had a urine test at the hospital, they told me they don't do HCG blood tests unless I had a problem which made me feel like, UMMMM i tried for FOREVER to get pregnant, GIVE ME YOUR TESTS!!! I just got to be patient, I guess. I think the blood HCG for exact beta numbers will be on tuesday when I will be just over 5 weeks along.

Well that's crazy, lol. Because the urine test that hospitals and docs use are exactly the same as the ones you use at home. I don't know why they even bother to have them, except for women that haven't tested at home.

That is what I thought, as well- I already have 5 HPTs saying YES! I just wanted something concrete like a number that I could obsess over. It's probably better for my sanity not to know the exact numbers. hahaha I hope to hear them on tuesday though!!! They are weighing me and all that fun stuff as well! Does that seem stupid that they did not do a blood test? Like wrong?

Yeah, I asked my primary for a blood test to confirm (because I had an early miscarriage last month) so she did the HcG and checked my progesterone, iron stores and vit. d levels (I'm vegan, and had some low levels previously). She didn't give me exact numbers when she called back, just said that the HcG was right on for 2 weeks pregnant (fetal age), progesterone was great, and that I need to take more iron and up my vitamin D levels a bit. I was kind of mad at myself for not asking her for exact numbers, but later I realized that it was probably good (for me!) not to have more info to obsess over!

But no, it's not standard this early, I had to request it. I just wanted a little extra info because of the miscarriage last time (and I didn't do blood work then). When you go next week for your first appointment, they'll probably do a blood draw and check all that stuff out. They did when I was pregnant with DS, when I went in about 5 or 6 weeks along.
