Does that seem stupid that they did not do a blood test? Like wrong?

Yeah, I asked my primary for a blood test to confirm (because I had an early miscarriage last month) so she did the HcG and checked my progesterone, iron stores and vit. d levels (I'm vegan, and had some low levels previously). She didn't give me exact numbers when she called back, just said that the HcG was right on for 2 weeks pregnant (fetal age), progesterone was great, and that I need to take more iron and up my vitamin D levels a bit. I was kind of mad at myself for not asking her for exact numbers, but later I realized that it was probably good (for me!) not to have more info to obsess over!

But no, it's not standard this early, I had to request it. I just wanted a little extra info because of the miscarriage last time (and I didn't do blood work then). When you go next week for your first appointment, they'll probably do a blood draw and check all that stuff out. They did when I was pregnant with DS, when I went in about 5 or 6 weeks along.
