Wearing a Mei Hip on your back (short times)

So I've been reading about the Mei Hip a lot lately and it says it can be used on your back for short periods of time. I've tried checking youtube and can't find any pics or video of anyone using a Mei Hip in a back carry.

Oh, and also...I'm having tons of trouble on the babywearer web site. I go to their forums, go to start a new post, type in my title, then message...just like here and then I get an error message that my post must contain at least 10 characters....um sure...got that. I try retyping but get the same error message.

Anyway, that place isn't as good as MDC anyway so I'll guess I'll just hang out here if that's okay.

Can't help ya out with the Mei Hip but I do love a Mei Tai.

Anywho... I had to send the mods a message over at the babywearer when I was having trouble. They fixed things up for me.

I'm with you, I much rather hang out here on MDC.

No, here's the carrier I'm getting:

http://www.cobaltcarriers.com/ellaro...mpaign=ellaroo

It says:

Baby can be moved toward the back for short periods, just as with a ring sling

I'm just trying to envision it...I guess I'll know soon...it was shipped yesterday!

With a sling in a hip carry, you just basically put your arm over to the front side of baby's head and scootch baby back a little toward the back. So they're still on your hip, but behind your shoulder instead of in front, if that makes sense? I hope that helps...

I assume you do the same thing with the mei hip, or at least that's what they sounded like they were saying...
