Wow! Great find.

Look at this, in Ghana, Rwanda, Lesotho, Cameroon and Zimbabwe, HIV PREVALENCE IS LOWER AMONG INTACT MEN! That runs completely counter to all the "Circ reduces HIV infection" rhetoric.

How did the WHO endorse circ again? Is nobody at WHO reading and analyzing these studies???

i've nver understood why they think circumcision prevents HIV. even if those studies were conclusive and proved that it did, what's so wrong with trying to get sexual and AIDS education, as well as decent medical care and in africa? i'd think that would be a better solution.

and the HIV rates...why doesn't anybody ever look at the US rates and the circumcision rates? it obviously does not help.

thanks.

i really just think it gives off the WRONG message. "don't worry about being educated, don't worry about STD's or HIV: sleep around with whoever you want...if you're circumcised, you're fine."
