Chard is in full force right now for us. I was just wondering what your favorite way to cook it is.

**the search feature isn't working for me right now, so that's why I posted a new thread**

Tonight will be my first time cooking chard- we got some in our csa box.

I'm going to try this Chard recipe.

Instead of using white wine I'm going to sub chicken broth. I'm paring it with a pork tenderloin and red skin mashed potatoes.

I will report back and let you know how it turned out.

ETA: The chard turned out yummy. I think the recipe could use some tweeking, but I really enjoyed it!

I LOVE chard, and I have some ready in my garden right now!

My favorite way to cook it:

Heat up some olive oil in a pan.

Throw in some minced garlic for a few seconds, and then throw in a few handfuls of cut up chard. Salt and pepper. Sautee until chard is a little tender.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese (optional, obviously, but delicious!).

Eat. :

Thanks! I've never had it with parm cheese before; I'll have to try that! And the olives and raisins look good. I do it with raisins and pine nuts a good bit.

Last night, we had chard and beet greens (what I have tons of) sauteed, then mixed into the ricotta part of stuffed shells. It was good. Tomorrow, I'm planning on mixing it in with chilaquiles. My cookbook had it as a variation of my normal recipe. Hopefully that'll be good, too.

I really like chard. It's fun to find new ways to eat it.

We love chard! I cook it very similarly to greeny. I heat olive oil in my skillet and then saute about ten cloves of garlic for a very short time, then I throw in my chopped chard and put a tbsp or so of lemon juice in with it. Let it wilt, turn off the heat and top with sesame seeds. I always serve it with mashed potatoes because sauteed chard and mashed potatoes are just super yummy together!

I made a recipe before that had a little bacon, garlic, onions and some apple cider vinegar (about 2 tsp for a pan full). It was very good and I've made kale and beet greens in a similar way with good results.
