I am helping my SIL out by making her some baby food for her 8 month old. I asked her if he ate spinach and she said yes. I have a bag of baby spinach that I picked up from the farmers market last week. I was looking in my baby blender food cookbook, and it talks about cooking the spinach, but on the sidebar it said that if you have baby spinach you don't have to cook it. So I blended the whole bag up raw with a little water (washed very thoroughly)...a whole bag only makes one ice cube tray! Anyway, I'm freezing the food for her, and it wasn't until I had it all spooned into the ice cube tray that it occurred to me that I have no idea how well baby spinach freezes raw. I normally cook or blanch veggies that go in my freezer first. Has anyone every frozen raw baby spinach before? I hope I didn't just waste this whole bag of spinach. I guess I could always scoop it out and use it in smoothies, but if anyone knows for sure, let me know
