Question on Castor Oil

Ok so I know there have been tons of questions about the much debated castor oil. What I was wondering is how much were you told to take? And IF it worked how long did that take?! I was considering it, but am very curious about all the workings of it. If it didn't work then I wouldn't sweat it too much, I just would want to be prepared for if it did work. Then I could have an idea of what would/could happen after taking it. Thanks mama's, I can't wait to post my hb story on here. Hopefully sooner rather than too much later!

I can never recall but it was either 2 tbsps or 2 oz, it wasn't that much either way (and it didn't taste that bad)

I have heard of castor oil causing bad cramps & the bad runs- like poo fountains.
Have you tried:
nipple stimulation
masturbating to orgasm
sexual intercourse (semen on the cervix works wonders)

because after a day of the three things listed above, my baby got born!

1 to 2 oz at a time (1oz is 1/8 cup), 1, 2, or 3 times 2 hrs apart up to 4oz total. Taking the minimum (1oz 1 time) helped kick me into labor with no poo issues.

With my last baby (born 11/08) I had been leaking fluid for 36 hours, my temp was rising, and we decided it was time to get the baby out. The protocol went like this:

2oz castor oil, take a hot shower
2 hrs later take another 2 oz of castor oil, followed by an enema with blue/black cohosh mixed in
2 hrs later (if no strong regular contractions) another 2 oz.

I've seen it work many, many times. Its not pleasant, but it works.

Oh, and the most pleasant way I've taken castor oil is with 1 cup of orange juice and half a banana in a blender with the castor oil. Made it so I couldn't really taste it.
