Yes! Coat it in a viniagrette first and it's super-yum! Even my veggie-phobic DH likes this!

Thanks to all you lovely ladies who responded!
We ended up doing some asparagus, portobello mushrooms, tomatoes, peaches (white and yellow - man were they out of this world good!) walla walla onions, and garlic.: Everything turned out simply incredible!! : We could not believe how insanely good it all tasted! DH was still talking about the tomatoes and asparagus the next day! I can't wait to try some of those other suggestions the next time we grill!
I am interested in more info about those grilling baskets 'cause stuff falling out sounds no good at all!
Has anyone had any experiences with the grilling baskets that they'd care to share?

The one veg I haven't seen mentioned is green onions. Tossed with a little oil and s&p.

I've never used a grill basket though. For anything small enough to be a problem (like cherry tomatoes), they go on kabob skewers. All the rest of the stuff should be fine unless your grill slats are really far apart - in which case you can get a cross grid rack - like a cake rack that has a criss-cross grid and just use that. But any bigger veg just needs to be cut to take advantage of the size (like cutting zukes lengthwise instead of cross-wise, or cutting broccoli so each floret has a long piece of stem attached).

Pretty much any summer fruit is beautiful on the grill. Brushed with a little honey or maple syrup if it's a mild fruit (like cantaloupe). Mangoes, papayas, nectarines, peaches, pineapple, apricots, figs, etc. I've even seen (although not done) grilled grapes. Cherries would probably be pretty good too, but would need to be skewered. The only ones I wouldn't toss on would be berries, which are just too tender to stand up to that kind of heat.

OMG we were all shocked at how delicious the fruit turned out.: Grilling fruit is now my new thing! Thanks for all of the additional fruit suggestions!
