Im not to sure how i feel about this, honestly. Don't get me wrong, there intentions are good. I am a huge fan of breastfeeding, but passing the baby around to different women constantly seems wrong somehow. The baby never gets to bond with one person. Seems like it could be confusing to the baby.?

He's bonding with his dad, most definitely. Do breastfeeding babies just not bond with dad? Obviously they do. And I'm sure he's bonding with each of the women that nurse him as well. Its not like he's being passed house to house with different people everyday. Its all in his home, these women are now his family too. He may be too little to distinguish between every person, but the bond is real. And I don't see where there would be confusion considering this is all he knows.

A mama I knew very casually became ill after her baby was born. Several of us were breastfeeding at the time and we donated pumped milk for him. When I see that 10 year old today, I still get sappy. I feel like I have some sort of claim or connection with him, even though he honestly doesn't know me from any other lady on the street.

What a nice feeling for a motherless baby to have--he has 20 mothers who love him and look out for him. And for the family's other children, too. I hope they infer from this that no matter what happens, people are looking out for them, and that they have this community that cares about them and will help them.

This is such a touching story, and I cried like a baby when I turned the page and saw the photos of the mamas nursing Moses.

What a precious gift Moses has been given!
