Top Chef Masters

Who's psyched for the new Top Chef? I know the thread is slightly premature, but I was just looking over the list of who's competing and I'm really looking forward to seeing chefs I do know about, like Wylie Dufresne, Rick Bayless, and Hubert Keller, on the show.

I hadn't heard about this - thanks. I set my DVR. Looks interesting! It starts Wednesday June 10 at 10 pm Eastern/9 pm Central.

In one of the previews I saw for the Top Chef: Masters, it looked like there's a new host named Katie Choi. I could be spelling her name incorrectly. Anyway, is Padma gone?

I think she's supposed to be back for the regular show, and just sat out the special series.

It will be cool to see some of the chefs that judge the show compete on it! I also saw online they picked the location for season 6 of Top Chef and it is Las Vegas.

When I saw the preview I only recognized Gail when they showed the judges. Is Tom on the new one?

I can't wait for this to start either. It will be interesting to see if the "masters" have as many oopsies as the "amateurs."

Dig this lineup! Rick Bayless? Hubert Keller? John Besh? Wylie DuFresne? This is gonna be great. I'll bet past competitors will be happy to see some of their former judges in cheftestant shoes, now.

Yay! I liked it; I wasn't expecting to because I love getting involved in the stories of the chefs but I really liked it. I was rooting for the French guy, I liked his vibe.

I liked how they did the format of this show- have only 4 chefs compete at a time. I wouldn't want it for regular Top Chef but I liked it for Masters.

I kind of missed seeing everyone go up against each other directly, but I do understand they couldn't exactly ask people with the contestants' schedules to all drop everything and come live together in a big loft.

LOL that's exactly what I said to my dh (that they couldn't drop everything and go live in a loft)
