Washing dipes question

Thread Starter
When you wash diapers using the 2 cycle method (cold/cold then hot/cold) do you put your detergent in the first (cold/cold) cycle or the next (hot/cold) cycle?

Or do you have an entirely different washing routine?

I do a cold rinse cycle first. Then I add my detergent (soap nuts) and run a hot cycle with cold rinse. If I had a hot rinse that would be my preference but since I don't. I use the cold.

We don't put any detergent in the first rinse/cold wash. We use it to get any solids and all the urine off the diapers. Then we add detergent in the 2nd, "real" wash.

If you add detergent to both washes, just add a little. Some will have detergent build-up if they add detergent to both washes.

I don't add any detergent to the cold rinse. I add it to the second hot wash then rinse as any times as I need to. Sometimes I may toss in some baking soda with the first rinse.

I do a cold rinse with no detergent, then a hot wash/cold rinse with detergent and oxygen cleaner, then a warm rinse.
I used to add a little bit detergent to the cold rinse but I was seeing a lot of bubbles during my last rinse so I stopped. Now I see very few, if any bubbles in that last rinse.

This is basically what I do. Cold wash w/ baking soda, hot wash w/ all f&c.

I also do a cold/cold with no detergent and then a hot/cold with soapnuts. If I had an extra rinse cycle, I would probably do that too!
