Some FO's and raw wool stuff

I decided not to buy anything for my son's first birthday, I made it all instead! I'm a work outside the home mama, so i didn't finish everything I started, but I posted some pics on what I did finish for him. I also blogged about some raw wool I was given.

Also, if anyone has any great ideas for what to do with raw wool, please let me know!!!

Love S's gifts! Especially the hats on the stars.

No idea what to do w/ raw wool, but the last pic looks like a giant bear rug.

That's exactly what my husband said!

How is it shorn? Honestly? Is it worth spinning, or is it better served by felting?

I'd card it and felt something- I love the texture of felt made from unprocessed fleece, and it looks like it's a beautiful colour. You could make a beautiful rug with a peg loom, though.

I wasn't sure if it was spinnable so I took some in. She said there are few second passes and it's really nice wool. She also gave me some alpaca. She's a breeder and just doesn't want to bother with the wool. I think she's crazy, but her loss was my gain! I think a rug is a great idea!

Heh. I wish I had friends like that- saying that, I have a first shearing from a Norfolk horn sitting in my cupboard waiting to be washed.

Oh, and the toys are gorgeous I forgot to say that earlier.
