RRL tea is yuck!

Anyone else think RRL tea tastes like you steeped a hand full of cigarette butts? :Puke I have tried 5 or 6 different brands over the course of both pregnancies... it is just plain repulsive to me. I can choke it down if I add peppermint leaves and honey.

I keep hearing women say how good it is!

I think it just tastes uber bland, but it's much better with cinnamon.

I don't like it hot. But I make a pitcher of sweet tea using RRL as 3/4 of it and regular tea for the rest, add your sweetener of choice (for me it's straight up sugar ) and it is delicous! I can drink it all day that way!

I liked it, but I am also the freak that liked parsley tea which my sister thought I was trying to kill her when I suggested it to bring on her period.

I think it is gross, too. I try to drink it regularly, yet only manage to choke down a few glasses per week, since I am trying to avoid even natural sweeteners these days.

Hmm....it doesn't bother me much. I brew a big pot in the evening and then drink it cold all day long but mine isn't straight RL tea - it is one teaspoon each of:

Raspberry Leaf
Nettle
Squaw Vine
Cramp Bark

It is true that my friend tasted it the other day and thought it tasted "woody" which I thought was probably from the cramp bark. Sometimes I sweeten it with agave but most of the time I can just drink it down. It definitely took some getting used to!

Another vote for having it iced. I used to make it then put it in a big 32 oz jug with some ice and sip it for the rest of the day. Oh, I also like to mix it half and half with some pregnancy tea by traditional medicinals.

I'm a super picky eater, but surprisingly, I like RRL tea. I usually mix it with other stuff - nettles, alfalfa, etc. And I put plenty of honey in there.

I prefer it hot. I don't like cold tea. But I'm just weird like that.

Wow - I LOVE it! I drink it every day, even when not pregnant. I use a little honey to sweeten it. I drink the Traditional Medicinals brand.

Are you steeping it for a while? It tastes really bitter when it's been steeped for a while. But it's more powerful when it's been steeped, too, so maybe try adding some mint or stevia to it.

I say, if you don't like it, don't drink it. I actually like the taste, and drank it regularly throughout the pregnancy (not *religiously* but steadily) and as far as I can tell, it made no difference in the labor/birth-- that's what it's supposed to do, right? But mine was *really* difficult. I didn't do the huge infusion right at the start of labor, but drank a lot of the regular-strength...
