looking for a sandwich recipe

I can't think of what this type of sandwich is called but it's when you hollow out a loaf of bread and layer meats, cheeses and veggies then wrap it up and but something heavy on it to squish it all together. Anyone know what I'm talking about?!

Not a clue, but it sounds intriguing.

Wondering if anyone else will know.

My mom once made this thing where she hollowed out the bread, made a tuna egg stuffing deal and served it with a creamy sauce.

Not the same exactly, not squished, but kinda close.

It's called a muffuletta sandwich.

Here's an example of one recipe, but it's totally versatile/flexible.

I wanted to share the recipe I kind of followed and it was so yummy-

This is a perfect picnic recipe and you can adapt it to include all your favorite things- I used turkey, prosciutto, fresh mozzerella, vidalia onions, artichoke hearts, arugula and roasted red peppers. Sitting on the sandwich is fun and it was actually a beautiful sandwich- I wasn't sure how all the layers would work but you could see each one
