baking soda everywhere?

can you use baking soda in place of soap/body wash for your entire body? if so, do you mix it with anything? sure would be cheaper than soap/body wash!

I have done that in the past but now I prefer water only... I would just mix it with a little water and rub it in small circles like an exfoliating scrub. Sometime I would use tea instead of water or drop some EOs in the mix. I just didn't do it more than once a week or my skin would dry out.

In a tupperware container in the bathroom I have a mixture of about 3 parts brown sugar to 1 part baking soda. After reading the last post, I wonder if it's not helping my dry skin!

I would watch baking soda as it can dry skin out. Personally I think sea salt is great for oily/normal skin people and natural sugars for dry skin/normal skin. Both are great for the skin and just lovely!

Ok I've stopped using baking soda on my face and use honey instead, and now my face isn't dry!

It can mess up your vaginal ph if you wash "down there" with bs.

I use a salt-oil scrub instead of body wash and soap only in places that get stinky.

Hmm, good to know about the ph thing 'down there.' Thanks!

Can I ask something not related to this topic? What does it mean when people have clever little things about being banned near their username? I've seen it a lot and I have no idea what it's about!

I have no idea, but I've been wondering about this forever too! We need answers, people!

It's left over from an April Fool's Day joke. There was a game where you could type in a username to "ban" another member. (really the fake ban lasted for an hour or so, but the game said 3 days or something) There's a thread about it someplace.

I was bored, and banned myself to see what would happen.
