2 questions

1st ?- Are there any stores that sell PUL (not online)? what do they call it (in the stores)?

2- Can you use another fabric (instead of PUL) to make a pocket dipe? I heard maybe 2 layers of fleece? Looking for waterproofness.

poly coated/rubberised/waterproof nylon (not weather proof/water resistant) it's what bummis covers are made of. they sell it in camping supply stores. I like it it's really thin, strong and easy to work with imo... i can't stand sewing PUL i'm just bad with stretchy material.

Hancock Fabrics sells PUL (white only) in store for $11.99/yd. I found it next to the quilt back bolts.

PUL is the most waterproof - I find once you get the hang of it is easy. Fleece can work, but it is bulky and not as reliable. PUL on-line is the only place I have ever found it - Fabrite is the best brand.

I've heard Hancock's sells it too, but at $11.99 a yard you can buy it at Kids in the Garden for $8.00 pay shipping and get great colors. Kids in the Garden ships really fast too. Joannes blizzard fleece works but it's bulky. I don't mind fleece on my toddler, who doesn't ever sit down, but when he was small and laying down it always seemed to compression leak, even with the expensive malden mills brand. IMO go with PUL.
