light weight Mei Tai..

I am looking for a mei tai style carrier. Living in Texas I need one that has very light weight material. Any suggestions? Thanks

The ellaroo MT is the lightest one I have come across, unless you want to get a mesh type of MT.

These are pricey, but Bamberoo makes ones with solarveil, which is about as cool as you can get.

OMT (Octi Mei Tai) and I *think* Satchi have made solaveil ones too, but I can't find where to buy them new. if you visit thebabywearer.com/forums you can sometimes find them on the FSOT.

I agree that Freehand is the lightest. I actually find the Ellaroo one I have to be the heaviest. I also have tried Babyhawk, Napsack and Kozy. I also love my Napsack more than the Freehand even though it is lighter. I would also recommend finding solarveil if you can. This is probably said a lot, but no matter what having a baby against your body is hot. Just keep that in mind!
