I bought fresh broccoli last night at my local organic farm. For whatever reason, I left it sitting on the kitchen table last night in it's bag. Dh put it in the fridge when he got up this am. I went to use it for dinner tonight and the floretts (??) looked like they were open and starting to get yellow. Everything was still firm, just a little yellow. Did I kill it? Can I still use it?

It was probably picked just before going to flower, so it is fine to eat but eat it soon!
If you don't harvest broccoli on time the head blossoms into yellow flowers like that. One of my daughters thinks that broccoli should be left to flower like that and put in a vase on the table instead of being put on her plate to be eaten while it is still green
