Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney for this little guy

It has been an interesting week for us. Last week we were told that we had a 2 vessel cord. Today we had our level 2 ultrasound....little guy has multicystic dysplastci kidney on the left side.

I am feeling a little relieved, but still bummed....

We have to see a pediatric urolgist before he is born, and after, and several more ultrasounds to check on growth before he is born. The one today wasn't the most comfortable for 45 minutes. He was not really happy and bouncing all over the place.

More of our story and some cool 4D photos are here...http://www.threeboysalady.blogspot.com/

Heather, I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with all of this. However, you're right, it does sound like good news over all.

Sending healthy baby vibes : and move that head down vibes too

I'm glad to hear that it is a pretty minor issue but I'm sure it is still scary for you and hard to hear. He has a beautiful little face, thanks for sharing the pictures!

Thanks Mommas! Today the emotion of annoyed has set in. I hope this doesn't sound silly because it is hard to put into words....

I am annoyed that I am still not having my "easy" third pregnancy. It stinks that I will have to worry about pee, eating, toxins, etc more than the "normal". Not that there is a normal I guess. Just venting I guess with what I am dealing with today on the emotion sclae.

I am always on edge with Mason, and overly protective. I am bummed that is the kind of mom I will have to be with this little guy.

Sorry for the vent. I am very happy that this is manageable and we will pull through....

Hugs, mama.

It is good news, but it is never good to hear that something is wrong with your little one. Hang in there!

You are going through a lot right now. What if you gave yourself some time (ex. 1 week) to be cranky and upset about it and to grieve the fact that there is something wrong with your precious baby? Then move on. Would you feel better about your interactions with your son?

I agree with the other mamas that the good news is that you found out now....Good luck and I will be praying for you!
