So, quick and to the point: why the six week rule? My OB said it's to prevent infection of the uterus... but she also said sometimes the uterus never fully closes back up after a second baby, so that doesn't even really make sense. I've stopped bleeding and I really miss DP! Anyone know what the real rule is, or is it just whenever you feel ready after your bleeding stops?
I'm NOT asking for medical advice, just any opinions/additional info than I got from my OB.
Thanks!

The nurses mentioned it also, but what do they know.
I just have no desire!
: (got it at 6wks PP with DD). And I AM exclusively breastfeeding, and was last time too, no artificial nipples, etc. Heck, DD wouldn't take a bottle until she was over a year old. Actually, DS has had a bottle of pumped milk 3 or 4 times now, and has a soother in the car, but not DD! maybe that's why it was 4 wks instead of 6?
