The old mothering.com is back!

I particularly like being able to click on the big mothering.community logo at the top and get back to the forums. On the new format it was driving me nuts because it directed me to the mothering website instead of back fo the forums.

I do have a question, though. Why are changes like the new board format (and now the old format again) and the removal of news and current events not announced before they happen? I frequently see banners across the top for things like the scavenger hunt, so why isn't that banner also used to mention that, oh, by the way, we're changing the format tomorrow (or even, we changed it today, you're not crazy to think it's all different!).

Well there was an announcement awhile back about things being update there just wasn't a recent one. Sorry.

As for N&CE there was two temporary closures and a program added to limit the posts per day, in hopes to tone down the snark and baiting.

I'm sure this is a pause while bugs are being worked out. I'm also sure that the admin team is working overtime on this and probably doesn't have much time for answering questions at the moment.

Thanks! I have no problem with waiting out some glitches I just thought from abi's post it was gone altogether.

I didn't get that from her post Maybe you're right. I just know how long they've been working on this change, since back when I was still a mod, so I can't see them scraping it so soon.

Yeah, I don't mind the new colors (in fact I kind of like them), but I like the old format for not having thread titles centered, for ease of clicking on mothering.community and some other ease of use things!
