Bead Swap?

Would anyone be interested in doing a bead swap for our DDC? Yes, I know it's early, but I was just wondering about interest. I'd be more than happy to arrange it - I think it will be fun. I really love the necklace I made from the beads from my swap in the Oct 08 swap.

When the time comes, I can setup an outside (maybe Yahoo?) group for all the details and the actual swap. I can setup the group and we can start having members join, but I think the swap should definitely take place sometime in the middle to end of our 2nd trimester - maybe October or so?

Any takers?

For those who aren't sure what a bead swop is:

Everyone who is involved buys enough beads for everyone else involved in the swap. The beads symbolise positive thoughts and affirmations for a positive pregnancy, labour & birth. We all send our beads to a co-ordinator who makes sure that everyone gets a package containing beads from everyone. We can all make necklaces with them to wear or have near during birth.

I'm not sure I explained that very well. Does that make sense?

We already have several people who have joined the google group.

Chessa - when we get a little closer and start working out all the details, we'll definitely talk about sizes for the beads. We can also talk about if we'd like a color scheme, material limitations, etc. We'll let most of those discussions take place on the google group, so we don't get in trouble with MDC's swap policies.
