Anyone else having trouble eating? Nothing seems appealing and when I do eat, that is when the nausea hits. I seem to be surviving on yogurt and granola, eggs (forcing myself to eat just for the good protien), cheese and crackers, olives and tomato sandwiches.

What are you all eating?

I just posted in another thread...creamed chipped beef on toast was the order of the day! As far as what I eat normally, though...I've been wanting fruit. Cherries are in season over here, so I've been eating lots of them. And strawberries. Also oatmeal, which isn't meshing well with the opposite-of-constipation that I've been having. And smoothies (banana, strawberries, frozen ice cubes of Odwalla's Vanilla Al'mondo Super Protein shake, and O.J.). And tomato soup. No real trouble eating yet. I get full faster, but that's about it.

I don't feel like eating either. I am fine if I do but nothing sounds good so I just force something down. Bleh!

Last week I was having a really hard time motivating to cook at all - and it's usually one of my favorite parts of my day. I get in trouble, because nothing really sounds good to me, but if I don't eat THEN I get nauseated and get crankier and crankier...so I really really need to keep some healthy snacks around.

I have NOT been craving fruit or raw veggies at all, which is too bad. I literally had to force myself to eat a handful of blueberries yesterday that DS didn't want to finish.

I will say that I made smoky collard greens tonight and I could literally feel the goodness of the greens infusing in my blood stream!

I cooked a bunch of chickpeas tonight to have around (I <3 my new pressure cooker!), so I'll probably be making some roasted crunchy chickpeas tomorrow, maybe some hummus or some other bean dip, maybe some no-tuna salad. I need stuff that I can pull out of the fridge and eat instantly - it's the food prep when I'm hungry that gets me, I'm just not into it!

Anybody else have any good healthy snack ideas to keep around?

I am always hungry! I eat three solid meals and snack on fruit-- Especially strawberries, apples, and grapes. I just eat about everything. I feel like I should be getting nauseated but I have not yet. Right now I am eating fresh strawberries and white chocolate ice cream. :

My favorite snacks are

marcona almonds
baby carrot & hummus dip
mozzarella cheese sticks

I'm having a hard time with breakfast. Eggs make me want to yak these days, and all I really want is a latte.

Dh is out of town right now and it's looking like this pregnancy is going to be one of the sleepy ones. So I have little to no energy to cook meals. Poor kids got linguine with bottled sauce tonight.

Tomorrow is the farmers market, so I'm hoping for some inspiration.

Ugh, me too! I'm having a real aversion to sweet, which makes breakfast tough. I need to get some tempeh marinated for tempeh bacon, so it's just ready to go in the morning. It's like once I'm hungry, I can't prepare ANYTHING - it has to be 90% ready.

Oh, YUM! I love tempeh bacon.

OMGosh, creamed chipped beef (over mashed potatoes!!!) was my go-to food with my first.

I'm feeling very bleh. I put off eating as long as possible because I know it will make me feel yucky. Then I feel yucky from not eating. Then I eat and feel yucky from that. I can't win!

Today, it was cheese. Cheese, cheese, cheese.

My midwife suggested mixing sunflower seeds and raisins and having them on hand as a snack.

Forgot to add, I've actually already lost 2 pounds. Better lay off the cheese if I want to keep up the trend.

soft serve ice cream- but then Alaskans are the Nation's biggest of consumers of ice cream so no big surprise there.

It has been INCREDIBLY hot here the last few days, which has made it harder for me to eat than usual.

lately I have been eating very light dinners but big breakfasts.

I have rice pudding in the oven though atm.
