The Baby is still breech

I had a u/s today and the baby is still in a frank breech position. I am 27 1/2 weeks. I know it is still early and the baby can turn but this baby does not move out of this position very often. I constantly feel pelvic pressure from his bottom sitting on my cervix. I looked at the spinning babies webiste and I am doing the inversion position but how many times a day should I do this. I just have a feeling the baby likes this position. Is it to early to try acupuncture or chiro care? The baby's head is positioned on the left side of my pelvis. If I try ice at the top of my abdomen and music near my pelvis should I put the ice more on the left side near the head? I am trying not to freak out and worry but I just have a bad feeling about this baby's position.

Hmmm, I'm not sure how to help. Honestly, I think it's way too early to even worry about position. I would think that the baby could move 3 or 4 times before September.

lots of time for the lil one to move on his/her own imo.

it doesnt matter at all at 27 1'2 weeks what position the baby is in. relax. there is no reason to do spinning babies or ice or anything. if that is how the baby is comfortable, that is fine, that is totally normal. really, the only time it matters that your baby is breech is when you are very very close to labor.

I wouldn't worry about it for at least another 4 or 5 weeks, honestly.

It's never too early to start chiro care, plus it makes you feel great! I started at 23 weeks and I don't have any of the hip and back pain I was getting before.

My little one doesn't seem to like vertex position yet either! My other two had settled into head-down by now, but this guy prefers transverse for some reason.

I'm not worried in the slightest, he'll move when he's ready, and if he doesn't move in time, I'll work to "encourage" him some

It's definitely not bad to do chiro or acupuncture, but just don't get all focused on turning the baby yet. You could turn him and the very next day he flips back because there's so much room in there right now! He's about 2 pounds right now, he's going to get 3-4 times bigger before birth!!

Ditto the others. Its still really early to worry. I have heard of babies turning as late at 40 weeks.

I was thinking the exact same thing! It is NEVER too early for chiro care. I have chiro care pregnant or not - I've not had NEAR the back/hip pain I had with my first two pg's where I didn't have care, and my 3rd babe was big and I hardly had any pain with him either.

That being said, I wouldn't worry about the head down part yet - the chiro care can help and definately get your body inline to encourage it and allow it to happen but its not a panic time yet at all.

Another thing is swimming - you can swim along the pool, and every 10 strokes or so, 'dive' down towards the bottom - good exercise for you and it can help the babe to turn. Plus it takes the weight off your joints and makes you feel better too!

Thanks everyone for helping me calm down. I will try to relax. I just worry b/c it is the only position this wee one seems to be in. I will do some inversion a few times a day and maybe some music (b/c my 3 year old will love that) and relax. I guess it will flip when it is ready.

ddc crashing to say don't worry.I was in your position at the same time in my pg.I even posted about it too.Anyhoo I lay upside down on my beanbag for most of the day,sat forward with my belly hanging everyday after that for a good 30 min intervals and by the time I went to my next appt babe was head down and in perfect birthing position:
good luck

Definitely not too early for chiro - in fact, it's BEST if you start sooner rather than later!!! If you wait too long something like the Webster Technique which would help the baby turn wouldn't have a chance to work. Find someone experienced with this technique and I'd suggest going 2x/week from now on. If you're in the Northeast I can help you find someone. good luck - and try not to worry - it's still early for baby to change positions! Mine flipped back and forth right up until the end!

Don't worry way too early. Just keep your body moving. Check out the spinning babies website if it is an issue in the future.
