Laundry w/1 dipe/day

DD has been pt'ed for a few months, and my major problem is laundry. I use about 1 diaper each day--just bedtime, and it's usually soaked by morning. But I HATE running an empty washer, so I keep putting off washing dipes until I have a reasonable amt, and of course by then it's been way too long.

Do you have a system for washing teeny tiny amounts of diapers?
Thanks!

Would just rinsing the pee diaper in the sink then throwing a few in with towels or something be an option? In this same vein you could do a small quick rinse with a few diapers then throw other laundry in for the actual wash...

Wash with the clothes.

If it's just pee, I'd wash with clothes. I use the same diaper-safe detergent on all our laundry anyway.

I would probably do a small load - cold rinse first, then throw in towels or whatever, then at the end, take out the other stuff and do another hot rinse on just the diapers to make sure you get all the detergent out. Big kid pee is stinky enough...and it will only be worse if they aren't rinsed well...

Thanks for the suggestions.

Really? Wash with the clothes? I don't think I'm comfortable with that. These are soaked ME Toddle-Ease--they're holding about a gallon of pee. And my clothing loads are always full, so it's not like there's a ton of agitation going on.

I could definitely rinse/prewash in the sink and then throw them in w/towels or sheets, though.

I have one Toddle-ease diaper per day, too, and I wash it with the towels and underpants and stuff. I put them through a cold rinse first, like I used to with diaper loads. They come out fine.
