My daughter is seven years old and a little over 60 lbs. She's got some bladder and kidney issues, and so bedtime wetting is an every night thing. I finally got tired of trying all the time to combat the rash on her bottom and bought a bunch of the XXL Kushies pull-on training pants for her to wear to bed at night. They're a little big on her, so I got some prefolds to put in them - both to help make the fit more snug and for extra absorbency.
She's getting leaks when we only use one prefold in them, and she says they're uncomfortably tight when we use two. She's told me twice now that she knows these are better for her bottom and for the earth, but the others ('sposies) worked better.
I really, really don't want to go back to disposables; her bottom is rash-free for the first time in years. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can make these Kushies work? I don't think I can afford to buy a whole new kind, but I can certainly get different inserts if they'll work better than the prefolds.
