Baby carriers - Page 3

After lugging around my friend's four month old in an Ergo (and watching her haul him around in it for months), I can tell you that I'd be perfectly happy with one of those!

But what I'd really like is a Beco Butterfly. My spouse is also very interested in baby wearing, and I like the idea of being able to just pass the carrier back and forth without taking the baby out. The BB also works with newborns without having to stuff a blanket in there or anything. (It comes with a newborn insert thingy.)

I'm also interested in trying out a Moby wrap (though probably a homemade version) because they just look so cozy. We'll see if I can figure out how to tie it right.

I am persuaded that I should try the moby wrap - has anyone tried the moby d with the panel? Does that solve the problem of it being too stretchy? I noticed they said it was shorter too - I am tall and my husband is a big guy (the ergo barely fits him) - anyone think we will have fit problems? Tell me your moby feelings!

You know, I have enough material left from when I made my last mei tai that I'd be happy to make one for someone else. I can't promise super speed as I'm working a couple jobs, but it's an excuse to use my shiny new sewing machine.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...cation/035.jpg not a great pic, but that's the fabric I used, and I have a ton left. I still use mine with DS though I will be moving to an SSC soon as he's getting HUGE (and heavy).

At any rate, if anyone needs a carrier and can't afford one, I'm happy to have a project to do. I need the fabric out of my storage totes. :P
