WEIRD dreams?

I have had some absolutely weird dreams lately. But last night's dream topped them all (so far). I had a dream that I delivered the baby early, she was very tiny. Her head was seriously about the size of an orange and she had these tiny little lips that could barely get on my nipple and I was trying to get her on my breast to feed her the first time and I went to gently squeeze on my breast and a stiff, sharp looking thing shot out about 2 inches from the hole in my nipple and I was like "what??" and then I woke up. So weird.

There is a dream site I've been going to that interprets dreams but they have nothing that is close to what I dreamed, so I can't find an interpretation. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that this will be my first time breastfeeding a child and I've been so excited yet worried about it at the same time.

I had a dream that I was at work, in a meeting, and started to go into labour. Chris was home so I called him and said "I'm busy but in labour, I need you to do this for me" so HE went to the birth center and had the baby!

Ha! My dreams are only pregnancy related sometimes, although I'm always pregnant in my dreams.

Lately I've been dreaming about vacation. Night before last, I dreamed that I wanted to go on vacation and DH wouldn't go with me, he told me to go alone. So I was huge and pregnant and walking around NYC solo.

Last night, I dreamed that we were going to go to Hawaii and my dog wanted to come, too. I had a long conversation w/ DH about how we should bring the dog because he is part of the family and he needed a vacation before the baby is born, too.

I think I need a vacation!

I am no expert but.....
dreams about weird pregnancy stuff happens to be the psyche "working out" fears, research shows women who have these freaky dreams actually have better birth outcomes and postpartum recovery--for what it is worth

the scientist in me says it is probably the B vitamins in your prenatal, Bs can give you all kinds of freaky dreams pregnant or not

with this baby and with dd--I have always had horrific dreams- hemmorhage, preterm delivery, all of it

I dreamt the other night that Michelle Obama called me and I spent the whole night preparing to call her back. I woke up so nervous with terrible leg and foot cramps - ah, pregnancy...

I had lots of really, really, weird baby dreams in the 1st tri. But not so much lately. In fact, I have been having stress dreams about school, so that has been keeping my unconscious busy!

But I am sure I will go back to the baby dreams soon. . .at this point my baby anxiety is all in the daytime (Sigh). I keep having this intense paranoia that my baby has gotten tangled up in the umbilical cord and I won't know in time to save him. This seems so irrational, I mean babies have always grown in there with cords, but I can't shake the fear for some reason.

I would love to start an "irrational fear thread" but I would be afraid everyone elses fears would then become mine...I have enough paranoia during the day I should have a break at night!!!

I have had some truly bizarre dreams, too. Last night I had one that I went to sephora to get more foundation (I have NEVER bought foundation at Sephora, ever) but I didn't want to pay for it so I asked for a sample, and instead the saleswoman sat me down and showed me how to do the smoky-eye look and then started critisizing my entire look, making comments about how I shouldn't be worried about foundation when I wore such ill-fitting clothes that made me look pregnant and had such two-tone hair (since I haven't colored it while pregnant, my roots ARE pretty gnarly).

It was bizarre. I woke up wondering what on earth led to THAT dream!
