Can I simply cut my own fleece liners???

I'm full of questions as a newbie! I noticed that some sellers offer fleece liner/soakers for cloth diapering. Has anyone tried just cutting/folding your own fleece to line a diaper? I know this would save me some serious $$$, and fleece doesn't unravel, so it doesn't need to be sewn!

Do you mean to line a diaper for the stay-dry effect? I don't see why not. I don't know a ton about fleece because I stick with cotton and hemp for my kids's diapers, but really, I can't see how it would make a difference. I'd make my own if I wanted fleece liners, it would save a lot of money!!

You can do that, yes! I have some fleece liners and I did sew around the edges, but you don't have to do that.

Perfect, thanks! I'm not the best sewer, but I can cut a straight line, lol!

Most of the ones you can buy are microfleece, which is kind of hard to find at Joann's or whatever, but you can just use their anti-pill fleece and it will work just as well...So, yes - absolutely! Easy Peasy.

I couldn't find microfleece when I was looking, so I just bought regular fleece from the remnants bin. It works fine for us. You just have to make sure you put the side with the shortest nap towards the baby. I was trying to sew in some fleece to the inside, but I found I actually preferred a separate liner. It makes changing poopy diapers so easy!
