Puppy names and a twist on guess the breed

So I need help thinking of puppy names I want a nice happy name since I think names can influence how people perceive the dog.

Puppy will be a big dog as an adult, beautiful blue brindle, light blue eyes, that may darken a bit as he ages but will more than likely remain blue. He is a big moosey mushball, squishy and snuggly, big floppy ears and a wrinkly squishy head and neck. Very mellow and laid back personality.

So far I like the name Bacio but looking for other names. I really wanted to name him Floppy Chops but DH isn't having that : .

Can anyone guess what breed the puppy is? To be fair it is not a pure breed but is a mix of 2 very closely related breeds. Either or and bonus points for for guessing both breeds correctly.

For what it's worth, the one dog I had who's name ended in an o sound never learned the word no. He mighta just been a stupid dog, but he responded to Bruno and No in the same manner (by completely ignoring it mostly)

And what's not to love about floppy chops? lol. My husband absolutely hated the name I had picked out for my dog...figgy puddin. So I have a Tontu instead =)

A picture would help

Yes, a photo please! I'm not having any luck thinking of brindle blue eyed dogs that are mushy and wrinkly...Maybe boxer + pit bull?

DH and I are having a bit of name trouble too. He likes people names and all of our dogs have had cute girl names. I suggested a few other kinds of names, but he isn't interested. He's picked the name before we've even met the dog!

For yours I wanted a Newfoundland. I was going to name him Murphy.

Then we adopted an amazing Lab from our neighbor (she was pregnant and miserable, and didn't have the time a 7-month-old Lab needed). Sicne I didn't need 2 big dogs, the Newf idea got tabled.

I still like the name Murphy for a big dog, though.

Or Tiny. Or Mighty Mouse.

Right now we have a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Triceratops (we call him Topper).

I have heard this before, to avoid naming a dog with a name ending in the long "o" sound because it can get confusing for the dog when it hears "no."

I wish I could cuddle him!

Well he's just about the cutest thing I've ever seen! He is going to be a VERY handsome adult!

A friend of mine had a black Newfie named Blondie... but it was a female. And my brother has a have German Shepard/half Rottweiler named Bruiser (the sweetest dog on the planet).

Names....

I do like Chopper (Topper has worked very well for us).

Moose?
Hagrid?
Smokey the Bear?
Jacques?
Sherman (since he'll grow up to be a tank)?
BD (short for Big Blue Dog of Destruction/Death/Dirt)

I vote for Big Blue...BB!

(hope you don't mind my popping in, no more kids for us and my husband is severely allergic to every pet we might like so I'm unlikely to get to name anything else...)
