Man, for the past week or so, I CANNOT seem to get any sleep. It's not that I'm too uncomfortable or anything, it's just that I can't fall asleep at night. I'm like the walking dead during the day (still working full-time), and yet I can't catch some z's. I've tried a short nap in the afternoon, NOT allowing myself a nap, warm bath, reading, candles, warm drink, etc. and nothing is working! I've even kicked my laptop out. Is anyone else experiencing this, or have any recommendations?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Well, you've been under a lot of stress lately, so it's normal that your body is feeling high-strung
Try adjusting your evening routine...a good dinner, followed by a leisurely walk, then a relaxing bath. Focus on your breathing, your heartrate, relaxing your muscles one by one. I know you said you've tried it, but it might take a few nights of doing it to get yourself to truly relax.
If that doesn't work, there are some safe sleep aids for pregnancy, including Tylenol PM, Ambien, and Unisom. Maybe you just need one or two good night's sleep in order to "re-set" your body and get back into a good natural sleep cycle.
And, you can always use this as a good excuse to splurge on a pregnancy massage! Get one in-home if you can, and schedule it for the evening time.

Thanks for reminding me of this! I KNOW I still have have unisom laying around from my earlier HG days (before I had to go on zofran). If I get desperate enough I'll try it.

I would recommend working some moderate exercise into your day. I was having trouble sleeping too and I realized that I had stopped swimming laps (I had gotten busy with other projects and let my exercise slip). As soon as I started up swimming a few times a week again, I was able to sleep much better. I'm sure just even taking a good 20-30 min walk a day would be enough, if you have the time.

I started turning the fan on at night a couple weeks ago when it finally got hot here. I've been sleeping better ever since - I think it might have more to do with the white noise than air movement. DH was cold and turned it off in the middle of the night last night and it messed up my sleep. Tonight he's using a blanket.

I have insomnia too, I'm exhausted, and I even lie down with my kids for 1-2 hrs mid-day and still can't sleep. I also exercise daily, and it isn't a case of being not tired!
I didn't have insomnia with the other ones, so who knows! Hopefully it will pass. The baby is crazy active, so maybe HE is the one with insomnia passing it on to me, LOL
